Workflow: The tool tries to auto-fetch each count first. If Google blocks the fetch (usual), click 🚀 Open all Google tabs to open every keyword's allintitle: search in a new tab at once — copy the count Google shows ("About X results"), paste it into the Allintitle column, KGR + verdict compute live. When you tab back to this page, the first empty input auto-focuses.

What is KGR?

Keyword Golden Ratio = allintitle: results ÷ monthly search volume. Below 0.25 = golden (new sites can rank fast). 0.25 to 1.0 = workable for authority sites. Above 1.0 = too competitive.

How the tool fetches counts

The tool tries four methods in order:

Brave Search API (recommended) — 2,000 queries/month free, 1 query/sec. Independent index. Returns real total_results from Brave's own crawler using intitle: operator.
Google CSE API — 100 queries/day free. Returns exact totalResults from Google's own API with real allintitle: support.
Bing intitle: scraping — server-side fallback. Bing hides result counts in modern UI so this rarely succeeds.
Manual "🚀 Open all Google tabs" — the always-works fallback. One click opens every keyword's allintitle:"kw" Google search. Copy count → paste back → KGR computes live.

Fastest to set up, most queries in the free tier, independent of Google:

Go to api.search.brave.com/register. Sign up (2-minute process). Pick the "Free" plan.
Get your Subscription Token (starts with BSA...).
On your WP backend, save it as a WP option — run in WP-CLI: wp option update mmg_brave_api_key "YOUR_BSA_TOKEN". Or add via Code Snippets / WPCode plugin: update_option('mmg_brave_api_key', 'YOUR_BSA_TOKEN');

Uses Google's own API — most accurate for the exact allintitle: operator:

Go to Google Cloud Console → Credentials. Create an API key. Enable the "Custom Search API".
Go to programmablesearchengine.google.com. Create a new engine. Under "What to search" pick "Search the entire web". Copy the Search engine ID.
Save both as WP options: wp option update mmg_google_cse_key "YOUR_API_KEY" and wp option update mmg_google_cse_id "YOUR_CSE_ID".

Volume ceiling matters

KGR is most reliable when monthly search volume is under 250. Higher-volume keywords with low KGR often have hidden intent competition (Reddit, YouTube, feature snippets) that raw allintitle counts miss.
